East Teak Trading Group was an established importer of teak and other hardwoods for the marine industry. For the company to grow rapidly, it needed to enter new vertical markets, including residential and commercial structures, millwork, decking, flooring and other non-marine applications. Regardless of the category, however, the common denominator was always the same—East Teak only targeted the high-end luxury market.

But to appeal to the highest tier of buyers, East Teak needed a complete facelift. Which is just what we delivered. Our team designed a strategic branding plan, a new and highly sophisticated logo, a completely new website, a visually stunning brochure, sales packets, a trade show booth, and a unique Library Kit exclusively for architects.
The Kit not only combined descriptions and recommended uses for a variety of rare hardwoods, it also contained actual wood samples for architects to include in their project specifications and presentations. The result? Of an estimated $30 million in sales after the rebranding, $7.5 million came from non-marine segments.

The Texas Public Relations Association also honored our Library Kit with a “Best of Texas” award for outstanding achievement in communication tools. But in the end, we consider our real reward to be the growth and success we helped East Teak achieve.
